Join our vibrant committee!

After our Pride event, we open applications for the core roles on our operational Committee, and appoint the new team at our AGM, happening on the 4th July 2026.

Being part of the committee is a fun way to make friends and give back to the local queer community, and generally only needs a small amount of your spare time - though please note that the months leading up to our event (January to April) can be more chaotic! Please don’t worry if this is your first time applying, the EP family is a lovely bunch of humans, and the process is not as scary as it sounds!

  • The Accessibility Coordinator guarantees that all charity activities, physical spaces, and digital materials are fully inclusive for individuals with diverse needs. In this role, you will review the organisation's current setups, coordinate reasonable adjustments, and act as the main point of contact for anyone requiring specific access accommodations. You will typically consult on event venue selections, advise on website adjustments, and help create clear, person-centred inclusion guidelines for the team.

  • The Communications Coordinator manages how the charity shares its message with the public and internal teams. You will lead the day-to-day writing and scheduling of social media content, newsletters, and promotional materials. Typically, this involves tracking community engagement across platforms, maintaining brand guidelines, and occasionally writing press releases to boost fundraising campaigns.

  • The Community Coordinator builds and maintains strong, meaningful connections between the charity and local community groups, families, and partner organisations. You will act as the friendly face of the charity to encourage broad, inclusive public participation in local initiatives. Your day-to-day duties will usually include organizing public outreach workshops, managing community feedback data, and following up on safeguarding regulations.

  • The Entertainment Coordinator brings life to the charity's calendar by booking, organising, and supervising all performance and social elements of its events. You will brainstorm engaging concepts to make charity events successful, memorable, and profitable. Your typical tasks involve researching and hiring local talent, coordinating with media vendors, and working within an agreed entertainment budget.

  • The March Coordinator oversees the logistics, scheduling, and safe operations of our large-scale public march through the streets of Exeter on Pride Day. You will lead the operational planning from start to finish to ensure the event meets all legal, local council, and safety obligations. Outside of Pride Day, you might be coordinating walking routes, securing necessary street permits, arranging marshalling teams, and managing risk assessments.

  • The Marketplace Coordinator is responsible for managing commercial vendors at our Pride event, including merchandise stalls, and catering vendors. You will process vendor applications, organise the stall layouts of our physical spaces and coordinate vendors to their locations on Pride Day. Outside of Pride Day you might explore and test new direct marketing channels to generate additional income for the organisation.

  • The Partnership Coordinator cultivates and manages vital relationships with business sponsors, corporate donors, and key stakeholders. You will focus on building long-term donor care pipelines to generate sustainable, multi-year funding streams. You will be reaching out to potential corporate sponsors, writing partnership agreements, and coordinating fundraising opportunities.

  • The Volunteer Coordinator oversees the recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing support of the charity's volunteer network. You act as the primary "volunteer champion," ensuring all team members are placed into fitting roles and feel completely valued. Your routine tasks will include writing clear volunteer agreements, updating internal volunteer tracking databases, and planning reward or appreciation events.
