Join our accessibility &
inclusion group!
As a charity and event, we are dedicated to making Exeter Pride as inclusive and accessible as possible for individuals with physical and learning disabilities, mental health challenges, those who are deaf/deaf, and those who are neurodiverse.
To achieve this goal, we are establishing an Accessibility and Inclusion Advisory Group composed of individuals who identify as having physical and learning disabilities, mental health conditions, being Deaf/deaf, and being neurodiverse.
This group may also include other individuals and organizations with valuable experience in these areas. Participation is open to anyone aged 18 and over.
Together, we will focus on several key areas, including:
Supporting committee members, trustees, and volunteers with disabilities
Ensuring representation of this diversity in our workshops and performances
Making Pride Day as accessible as possible for all attendees
While members of the advisory group do not have voting rights like committee members or trustees, their valuable insights are essential in shaping our policies and decision-making processes.
The group will be led by Katie, a trustee and former chair of Exeter Pride, who also has disabilities.
If you (or anyone you know) is interested in contributing to the future of Exeter Pride and making it a true reflection of our diverse community, please reach out to me at k.moudry@exeterpride.co.uk.
